Summer Institute

Each Summer more than one hundred Adult Basic Skills and community-based organization colleagues attend the week-long Institutes. The Institute program focuses on planning and presenting effective professional development in the Basic Skills of reading, writing, and mathematics. The Institute benefits do not end when participants leave Appalachian; they impact the future learning of adult students. Quality instruction leading to lifelong learning is an ultimate goal of ABSPD.
